Core Teaching
Shamanism is not a single religion but a family of practices found across Siberia, the Americas, Africa, and beyond — humanity's most ancient way of relating to the sacred. Its worldview is animist: all things are ensouled, and reality has layers — lower, middle, and upper worlds — through which the shaman travels in trance. Called often through crisis or vision, the shaman journeys on the drum's rhythm to retrieve lost soul-parts, to heal, to guide the dead, and to restore balance between the human community and the wider web of life.
