तक़्ती
Ilm-e-arūz — meter scansion for the ghazal.
Type a misra, sher, or whole ghazal in Devanagari, Roman/Hinglish (dil-e-nadan) or Urdu. The engine transliterates to Devanagari (shown, never a silent guess), splits it into weighted syllables (लघु 1 · गुरु 2), groups them into arkaan, names the bahr, and — for a full ghazal — detects the radeef & qaafiya. It shows every licence it used and never changes your spelling. Urdu without aerab is lexicon-limited for now.
तक़्ती कैसे करें · how to use
- Type your sher or ghazal — one misra (line) per line. For a full ghazal, put both matla misras first, then each following sher.
- Any script: Devanagari, Roman/Hinglish (dil-e-nadan), or Urdu. It shows the Devanagari it read — tap any word to correct a wrong reading.
- Read the scansion: each syllable shows a weight — लघु = 1 (short), गुरु = 2 (long); the boxes group them into arkaan (feet) and name the bahr (metre).
- 2→1 marks a मात्रा गिराना — a long vowel sung short to fit the metre. Spelling is never changed silently.
- Whole ghazal (2+ lines): also checks the bahr is consistent and finds the radeef, qaafiya, and suggests more rhyming words.
